ORDERING AND SHIPPING INQUIRIES

Do you ship to the US?

This website offers sales in the US only.  Every month we send a limited number of our hand-crafted chocolate truffles to the US.  They go on pre-order about one month in advance.  Once the supply is gone, you can pre-order for the following month.  We currently do not offer shipping outside the US.

What truffles will I be getting?

Chef Selassie Atadika curates the boxes which offer a mix of white, milk, and dark chocolate, which will take you on a journey through the African continent. You will receive an insert with information about the various truffles in the box.

Where is my order?

We typically ship out the orders on the Monday or Tuesday after your order is placed.  We will share the tracking number once it has shipped from our end.  If you have any additional questions, you can reach us via email: sales@midunu.com.

How do I order your hand-crafted chocolate truffles for my retail store or catalog?

We are always looking for new partners to help us share our new way of making chocolate. We’d love to find out more about what you have in mind.  Please provide some provisional information, and we'll get back to you!

What is your return policy?

As our truffles are perishable, we don't accept returns.  If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at sales@midunu.com, and we'll see what we can do to make your experience with us sweeter.

CHOCOLATE INQUIRIES

Where are Midunu Chocolates made?

Every truffle is hand-crafted by our all-female team of chocolatiers in our facility in Accra, Ghana.

Where does our chocolate come from?

All our chocolate is single-origin, from Ghana!  With a cocoa heritage dating back to 1879, Ghana is renowned for its cocoa quality and quantity, the main ingredient in chocolate. The traditional method of fermenting cocoa beans in plantain and banana leaves instills a unique flavor.  We then work our magic and create subtle infusions in our ganache with teas, tisanes, and complex spice blends.

What makes your chocolate truffles different?

Did you know that very little chocolate is actually produced in West Africa despite producing more cocoa than any region in the world? That’s where Midunu is different. We work with local farmers and producers to cultivate and create our chocolates right here in Ghana. We want to introduce you to a new way of thinking about chocolate.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Our truffles have a shelf life of 3 months from the day they are produced.  Our truffles should be stored at 65F/18C or cooler and brought to room temperature before eaten.

Why do your chocolates have a premium price?

We use the best quality ingredients available to make our truffles by hand.  Once they are ready, we need to maintain them at the right temperature to get them to you in the US as quickly as possible to ensure you get them at their peak.

Which truffles contain alcohol?

Yaa – our classic rolled truffle with candied ginger

Akua – our Amarula truffle

What allergens are in your products?

Our products are manufactured on equipment that processes peanuts, tree nuts, milk, and soy. Our truffles contain milk, cream, and/or butter.  Our chocolate contains soy lecithin and vanillin. The designs on many of our truffles are made with food-safe coloring and cocoa butter.
